vQuiz does what it exactly says in Documentation or on Front Sale page. Please let us know what kind of Quiz you are intending to build and how the scoring needs to be done for Quiz/Questions along with your Backend Login credentials via Contact us form, We'll do the setup for you and will also let you know how you can set up further Quizzes.

Thanks

I do not mean to be a pain but this seems contradictory to the documentation provided with the product. Your documentation states -

"You can set the weight of each option in Question layout in “Different Option Score” case. Question Weight will be multiplied by option score to get the Score Obtain by user and also to the Maximum score of the Question."

"Question’s Score (Weight) will be multiplied by option score to get the Score Obtain by User/Quiz Player and also to the Maximum score of the Question."

Your front sales page claims:
"Ability to set the weight of the quiz and also set the option's score in Trivia Quiz Type."
"Assigning time & weightage- Authorizes you to define timelines/weightage to the test as a whole or even different timing/weightage to questions individually based on their complexity."

Single option scoring does not accomplish this. Why would you create a category that implies you can set a score for each answer and then state that it is only used for quizzes where the score is irrelevant? This seems contradictory to the purpose of a quiz and to the statements posted to sell and define this product.

I purchased your product for this functionality based on the descriptions provided on your website. This functionality does not function and I would like to request a refund. I have already sent an email request to your support channels.

Thank you for your time and consideration in this issue.

As per your requirements, you need to use the single option score. Please do not use Different options score, that's for different types of Quizzes where there is no right/wrong and you are not intending to display the score.

Daniel,

I am talking about exactly what I said... regardless of your belief that this is not happening it is what is happening. The points scored when the quiz is taken do not match the total points when using the "Answer Type" "Different Options Score" and the "Question Type" "Checkbox".

I tried setting both the score at the top of the question and each individual score for the answers to 1 and the same error occurs. Please see my attached screenshots...

I have also tried putting the first score to 5, the number of correct answers, and this still occurs the student's points are just more exaggerated.

Thanks...
Nicole

What issue are you talking about? you definitely won't have 100/20 issue if you input 1 in the individual score column.

Even when using 1 this issue still occurs.

It's because of the weight, given in the individual score column. Please keep that 1.

That is what I thought but is definitely not what is happening. The scores are all over the place. It seems that the total score is the total of the points in the column but then the achieved score is much higher than the possible total score as shown in the picture attached to the original message. Hello,
In Checkbox, you get the score only if you choose all the correct answers. You do not get any score if you choose all the correct answer along with some incorrect answers or if you miss choosing 1 of the correct answers.

And in case of "different options score", there is no right/wrong answers, you would get the scores whichever option you choose and the individual score column works as a weight to the score If It's 1 you get the actual score whatever is there in option score field and if It's 20 then you get the score 20 multiplied by the option score.

If the scoring isn't working as per the above explanation, please let us know. We'll look into it.

Thanks

I have been trying since download to get the option scoring feature to work properly. However, it never seems to add the total points properly.

The scoring system is very difficult to sort out. If I choose the single option and have checkbox questions the user only gets points if they select all of the answers. Then they get all the points if they select all the right answers, and then none of the points if they miss a right answer or select an incorrect one. This goes against the purpose of having checkbox questions.

I tried to use your "different options score" setting to no avail. No idea how you calculate total vs option scores with that one. The scores never match up between achieved and total score. I have spent literally over 10hrs trying to sort out the scoring system on this extension to no avail.

For example, when using a checkbox question with the "different options score" I enter in the score as 1. Then I have 9 possible answers. 5 of these answers are correct. For the correct answers, I put 20 in the individual score column. When testing this, selecting all the right answers gives me a score of 100/20? I've tried decimals and percentages and nothing but the same. How is this function actually supposed to work? Does anyone have some guidance?

I am trying to accomplish a student getting a point when they check a right answer and the total points possible add up to the number of right answers. Standard quiz/exam functionality.
