Hi Tim,
Thanks for your recommendation. We'll look into it.
However, the solution you have suggested is already on product demo page in 2nd point(How can i migrate Joomla content (articles, users and tags etc) from Joomla 2.x version to Joomla 3.x version?) under FAQ Section. URL: www.wdmtech.com/vdata-frequently-asked-questions

Hi Wire Creative,
Sorry I just happen to notice your reply to my previous message. In case it can help, what I ended up doing is to spin a new blank install of Joomla 3 and install vData on it. I then connected to the database of the Joomla 2.5 to grab its data. This is far from ideal, I agree, but it worked to export what was needed.
I highly recommend WDM Tech to make it clearer on the product page that the product can read data from 2.5 but requires Joomla 3 to work.

I'm having the same issues. Obviously, it's not ideal to be using J!2.5, which is no longer officially supported, but vData claims that it's still within the minimum requirements for the extension to function.
I see the same errors as above, plus an Internal Server Error when trying to edit a Data Display profile.

The vData plugin looks promising and I can't wait to get it to work. Unfortunately, I am having multiple issues with the interface at the moment.
Installed following the instructions at www.wdmtech.com/vdata-documentation-installation
It seems like the whole package is installed and activated properly
- vdata display
- vdata
- vdata admin menu
- vdata icons
- vdata package
- vdata widget
Installed on
Export tab
When I click on the export tab, the joomla interfaces disappears and leaves me with an unstyled form. There is no button to generate the export.
Configuration tab
When I click on the configuration tab, I receive a Error 500 per image below.
Profile wizard
It simply returns an Chrome error 500 - The page is not working
Sadly, at this point, none of the features are available...
