HI George,
Greetings!
Please remove the second row of your CSV file in which you have added the first data of the row and change the column #_categories_title value ROOT to ROOT1, please let us know in case of any query.
Please feel free to revert back in case of any query.

In addition, I still get this error for the export category,
Another category with the same parent category has the same alias (remember it may be a trashed item).
Import Failed
I have deleted all articles and categories, and emptied the trash. I have set the export category profile as you have it in the screenshot. (with the != and 0)
Please help

Thank you for your response.
Could you please tell me the steps to exclude the root category from the export profile?
And I tried deleting what would be row 2 from the Category CSV file:
1,,,0,187,0,,system,ROOT,root,,,1,1,{},,,{},,"2011-01-01 00:00:01","0000-00-00 00:00:00",0,*
But when I imported it to my destination site, the same error occurs. Did I delete the correct line?
Thanks,
Tuan

Hi,
It might be the root category which doesn't show up in backend. That's for Internal use only. You can either skip it from the export profile so that it doesn't export this category or delete it from the exported file ( you would find it in the first row if using CSV ). The category ID is 1.
Thanks
Daniel

HI team,
I just purchase vData and have an error on my import process.
My source site is running Joomla 3.3.6 and my destination site is running on a new fresh installation of Joomla 3.8.1.
When I start the import process of Categories or Articles, I get the error,
"Another category with the same parent category has the same alias (remember it may be a trashed item).
Import Failed"
I have even deleted the default "Uncategorised" category that comes with a new install of Joomla.
Why am I getting this error on a new install of Joomla?
Thanks,
Tuan
