Hi,
Please find the comments below:

1 & 2. Yes vData doesn't create database tables during import process, Database table must already be there before creating the Profile. However using vData's Quick View you can create the database tables, you do not need to use any other program.
3. Yes you can fetch data from any table using vChart.

Thanks
Daniel

Hi Team,

I am just new to the vData. What I want to achieve is to import historical of some kind of stocks/indexes information via a configured external API and import those data into the vData; then use vChart to present in our website. There are things I want to clarify:

1. Do I need to create a custom table via other tools to hold such custom data imported from another external API with JSON files? (Means: Do I have to create the table myself via other program first?)

2. If no, does it means the database table(s) and records will be automatically created during the import process? (first import will via a JSON file and then add each records in a hourly basis via API)

3. Is vChart be able to read custom table / data that imported via vData?

Please advise and thank you!
