Hi Mark,
we have corrected issues which you are facing now you can show vmap module in k2 article with the this syntax {vmapmodule 5} where 5 is the map id, you can take this id number from maps layout of vmap component. Second now you can add component layout to any menu.
We hope this response has sufficiently answered your questions. If not, please reply and we will answer your questions / querie s asap.
thanks

Good morning (UK) and thank for your speedy reply - Sorry for my delay responding
Thank you for the information - If I understand you correctly it is not possible to connect to the map via the component menu item?
I've used a fair few packages in my time and have never experienced this and if I'm honest it doesn't make it clear this si the case. As an end user I shouldn't have to "embed" a module in an article and whilst I'm sure the information is there somewhere, I wasn't able to find it. tyhat said I wasn't expecting to embed a module so wasn't looking for it
Given you don't give refunds under these circumstances I will just have to swallow the money I have lost, suffice to say I am very dissapointed with this product
Thanks again
Mark

Hi
we use module(vmap_module) to show the markers in front hand. You can assign this module to any menu to show the markers. In module you will have to select which map's markers you want to show.
In vmap_component you can give latitude and longitude from existing database, or from csv file or from manually enter the information.
We hope this response has sufficiently answered your questions. If not, please reply and we will answer your questions / querie s asap.

Also, how do i get the markers to appear based on a post code (longitute & latitude is no good for me) and how do I create a menu link to the map?

Hi,
You can display any record from your database onto a Google Map, it should have either latlng or address. It'll work with zip code only ( It actually all depends on Google Map API, If google would be able to geocode the zip, vMap would display the pin ). You can reach us anytime if you face any issue in configuring vMap, We'll help you in achieving your task.
Thanks
Daniel

We are looking for a mapextension to show a location of all our registered users on our website automaticly. Do i understand it correctly that Vmap is the extension for us? Will it be possible for the registered users to accept and show a pin of their location only from a zipcode? or how does Vmap work?
Hope to hear from you soon.
